I didn't pick my children, God handed them to me. I never could have bio children and I know why now. Not everyone can be an adoptive parent and not everyone can be the adoptive parent of a SN child. But, God knows the one's that can!
I must mention that FAS/FAE is very tough to deal with. It is our biggest challenge because it is an uphill daily battle.adoptedthreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13403591807689393039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4740584918405786360.post-19011421999055828342009-03-13T11:17:00.000-04:002009-03-13T11:17:00.000-04:00Great post!Great post!ArtworkByRuthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03792826892385070109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4740584918405786360.post-60406810490804544952009-03-12T09:44:00.000-04:002009-03-12T09:44:00.000-04:00Much better said than I ever could have, Valerie!Much better said than I ever could have, Valerie!Lesliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11942021817609798741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4740584918405786360.post-69926576628096502752009-03-12T00:05:00.000-04:002009-03-12T00:05:00.000-04:00One thing that raising children with special needs...One thing that raising children with special needs has taught me is that WE are the ones with special needs. My children do not see limitations, they love all people unconditionally, they bring joy to everyone who has the privilege of knowing them. THEY already love the way the Father does. When people ask me why we chose to adopt children with special needs the only thing that I can tell them is that, that was the path the Lord intended for our family. And I have come to the conclusion that we were directed down that path, not because THEY needed us so much as WE needed them. And now that I have the privilege of basking in their eternal sunshine each and every day, I feel like my eyes have truly been opened and I can finally see! My children are evidence of just how much the Lord loves me (despite how undeserving I might be).

As always, thank you for the beautiful post Leslie!Valeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03987291624351470885noreply@blogger.com
